Refresh Rate

Refresh rate is how quickly the images are updated in the Headset. A higher refresh rate means less visual lag and a smaller chance of the user feeling VR sickness. Another reason for a higher number is it gives a more responsive experience.

Most HMD operate at between 72Hz and 144Hz. This means it’s worth considering that higher rates (measured in Hz) equate to the number of Frames per second that the device or host computer is running at. To achieve higher rates requires a more powerful GPU.

The HP Reverb G2 operates at 90Hz so the images update 90 times per second.
